From Inc. Magazine they've come out out with some startling statistics, '96% of all businesses started 10 years ago, aren't in business today.' That means only about 4% are still around. Why is this so huge a percentage?
Well let's 1st look at why the 4% are making it and why they are successful while the other 96% weren't. If you sit down and do a side-by-side comparison the 4% had mentors, and others to hold them accountable.
CEOs of a big corporation have a board of directors and more specifically a chairman of the board.
Doctors, after completing med school they then have to go through residency. Aka, a mentoring coaching program in the field of their study.
Most Lawyers, after completing their degrees go work for a law firm as an intern, before they decide to strive to become a partner, or going off on their own to start their own practice.
Any professional, in industry, sports, you name it. They all have a coach helping them along the way. If you want to be an Olympian in your business you need a coach, someone with experience and correct knowledge to help you with the gold metal. To push past those dips and pitfalls, which will come. Not if, but when. That's what champions have. Humility to understand they don't know it all, and sometimes they need to look outside themselves for the answers. Answers only a coach, a mentor, and a friend can truly provide.
