Start With The End In Mind.

Starting with the end in mind means that you need to have crystal clear focus of what you want your end result(s) to be. It needs to be written out in detail. If don't fully know how to become that detailed, then just start with the things you are clear about. Trust me, the rest will follow suit and reveal itself to you as you move forward.
It needs to be so clear, that you can virtually see it in your mind when you close your eyes.

Proactivity

Proactivity is the chief hallmark of any success person. The 1st of 7 Habits spoken of by author and successful business man, Stephen R. Covey. And last, but not least, the fundamental 1st principal of any true success that's earned.
It's also the #1 responsibility of any accountability partner, student or coach, you may have. In any partnership, or student mentor relationship that you choose to be in, both parties must be mutually proactive to reach out to one another, it's not your other partners'/coaches responsibility to have you report; it's yours!
Be Proactive, and take responsibility.

K.I.S.S.

The K.I.S.S. methodology. Keep It Simple Stupid, is one of the abbreviations for that acronym. The beauty of complex things is in how simple they really are. Ray Kroc, who purchased McDonald's from the McDonald brothers understood that mentality when he created what we now know to be the franchise system.
In all that you do in your business. Keep it so simple that you can, in a single sentence or two, describe exactly each individual part of your business.
     Keep it simple.

The End Results

At the end of the day what matters most is the end results. You could have worked all day as smart and as hard as you possibly could, but if you made no profit from your efforts you can't pay your staff, or yourself. In around-about sense, if you don't make money, you don't eat, and neither does your family for that matter.
But you can only control so much, your level of activity is one of those few things you can control. You need to find out what those few things are that you truly need to focus on in order to make a profit, then attack those items with all your might, mind and strength.
     Focus on what's most important!

When Seeking Help

When any business owner is looking for help, they don't want just anyone to help them. They want the help of another who has already been where they are now, and who has even done what they themselves are trying to do. Why? Cause their livelihood depends on it! Their business is like a 2nd child to them, and they aren't going to trust just anyone to help them.
Seek out a mentor who has walked where you now trod.

3 General Systems

If you are self employed, you own your job. When you own a business you have systems in place that allow you to make money, even when you're home asleep. The three general kinds of business systems are:
1. You start a corporation that creates and owns its system.
2. You buy a franchise, i.e. someone else's system. Or;
3. You become part of a network marketing system, thereby joining a system already in operation.
Again, if you don't have systems in place, you are the magic. Therefore, when you are not working you are not making any money. If that's what you care to do, there is nothing wrong with that. However, if you want to go from owning your job to being a business owner, and for more in depth knowledge about the difference between being self-employed versus being a business owner, I strongly recommend you read Robert Kiyosaki's book, "The Cashflow Quadrant." If you don't have systems in place yet, it's never to late to begin creating, and implementing them into your business. If you lack the knowledge or experience to create and implement systems that's what a coach is there for.
Learn about, and develop systems my friends.

Slumps

Slumps happen to us all. What's most important is that you push through the slumps and keep the same level of activity regardless. Very few people have that kind of will power to win. That's why you need a friend to help you along the way.
Find yourself a friend and coach.

The Few That Succeed

From Inc. Magazine they've come out out with some startling statistics, '96% of all businesses started 10 years ago, aren't in business today.' That means only about 4% are still around. Why is this so huge a percentage?
Well let's 1st look at why the 4% are making it and why they are successful while the other 96% weren't. If you sit down and do a side-by-side comparison the 4% had mentors, and others to hold them accountable.
CEOs of a big corporation have a board of directors and more specifically a chairman of the board.
Doctors, after completing med school they then have to go through residency. Aka, a mentoring coaching program in the field of their study.
Most Lawyers, after completing their degrees go work for a law firm as an intern, before they decide to strive to become a partner, or going off on their own to start their own practice.
Any professional, in industry, sports, you name it. They all have a coach helping them along the way. If you want to be an Olympian in your business you need a coach, someone with experience and correct knowledge to help you with the gold metal. To push past those dips and pitfalls, which will come. Not if, but when. That's what champions have. Humility to understand they don't know it all, and sometimes they need to look outside themselves for the answers. Answers only a coach, a mentor, and a friend can truly provide.

Systems

A business is made up of systems. Systems that, when you go home and sleep, they can still make your business profitable. If you are a business owner and you are the magic, you're only making money when you're up and working; i.e. you own your job, and there isn't as much freedom in that as some would have you believe.
A business itself needs to have systems set up and in place. Systems that are so simple, they're duplicatible.
Now if you're a self-employed individual nothing is wrong with that, if that's what you want. But if you want to have more free time, independence, and profitability. You need to put systems in place.
If you don't know how to exactly create a system(s), that's one of the many areas we go into depth and work on when we meet up in person. And one of benefits of getting an experienced coach on your team.
Develop systems my friends.

Education and Learning

Learning, or the art of learning, is crucial for the entrepreneur. Formal education can give you a general understanding of any given subject, unless you're intentionally specializing in a given area. But the entrepreneur and business owner has to constantly be doing his homework on a daily basis. The business owner that isn't proactively learning is slowly allowing his business to crumble away, all while their competitors pass them by.

Time Management

Time management can be one of the most difficult things to master for the entrepreneur. But is of the upmost importance to learn and develop said skill. One of the greatest books on time management is from Stephen R. Covey, "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People"
If you haven't read the book I strongly suggest that you do.

Saturday

The average employee looks at his calendar work week and mentally feels like every day is either a Monday or just an ugly sister of Monday's, except for Friday. TGIF, as most would say. But then they have both Saturday and Sunday to relax and do what ever they want.
The business owner, and entrepreneur however view their weeks a little differently. Simply put, every day is a Saturday except Sunday. The only question now is, which Saturdays do you want to work on, and which ones do you want to take off?
Don't be bashful or upset at the fact that you have to work on Saturdays. Embrace it. Cause while your competition is out playing, you're winning and making the sacrifice now instead of later. You're going to have to pay the price sometime. So pay the price early on in your business so you don't have to worry about paying it later.
Work hard my friends.

Motivation and Consistency

Motivation is a great tool the business owner can utilize when starting up, and when trying to pick up ones performance in the business at any stage. But what happens when that momentum from the motivation fades away? Remember that it's not a question of, if ones momentum will slow down at some point or not, cause it will. So how do you push past that dip in energy? Consistency!
More important than Momentum is Consistency. This is why having systems in place for your business is critical. The magic of any business success, has never been in the momentum it gains in the beginning, or in spurts of motivation here or there. The magic has always been in the stability and consistency of one both working hard and smart.
A quote that's attributed to the famous Zig Ziglar says, "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily." That same daily consistency is how you continue to stay motivated and keep that momentum going.
Stay consistent my friends.

Winning in Business, and Being a True Winner

In order to win in business, and being a true winner, you have to seek for Win-Win solutions in all that you do. What kind of value are you genuinely offering to give your clients and customers by trading your goods and services to them in return for their hard earned money? Remember one of the reason you're in business is because you believe in the value of what you're offering, and you believe it will enrich the lives of those with whom you come into contact with.
Searching for Win-Win solutions in all that you do is especially critical when it comes to leading your team of colleagues. You can say all the right things to the people you're leading, but if your actions and example aren't reflective of what you say, then your coworkers turn into employees only. Who aren't looking out for the best interest of your business. Employees barely do enough to keep themselves from getting let go, and you don't want those kind of employees representing your name and brand when you aren't around. So if you desire to avoid that mess, say what you mean, and mean what you say by acting with integrity. Then you will have a loyal hard working team of colleagues by your side willing to do their best to aid you in your business.
Always seek to be a true winner both in business, and in life.

Marketing

Marketing is a huge part of any business. You need to not only specifically identify who your targeted market is, you then have to make sure there's enough need in that demographic of individuals to justifiably allow you to advertise there and receive a return on your investment of time and money.

Welcome

Welcome everyone,

It's the American Dream. Taking your life, both destiny and fate into your own hands through the wonderful world of ownership in ones profession, career and lively-hood. The freedom it creates, the doors of opportunities that it opens up, and the liberty to control ones self as they desire.
I love life, liberty, and helping to enable all other to exercise their agency in their pursuit of happiness. This is my strongest desire as a coach. I've been helping clients for years now, and seeing the success in a clients business that come from the service and aid I provide is one of the greatest honors and privileges I get to have.
I believe information ought to be free. To paraphrase Napoleon Hills iconic book, Think and Grow Rich, 'Knowledge is only potential power, it only becomes power when properly acted upon and applied in the correct sequence.' And this is the purpose for this blog. To get the information out there, the correct knowledge needed to make informed decisions to help you succeed in your business, and in life. Then through the service of accountability that only correct, in-person coaching can provide you can and will succeed. I look forward to this relationship that we will develop as you learn and practice the proper skills necessary for success in your business and life.
