Start With The End In Mind.

Starting with the end in mind means that you need to have crystal clear focus of what you want your end result(s) to be. It needs to be written out in detail. If don't fully know how to become that detailed, then just start with the things you are clear about. Trust me, the rest will follow suit and reveal itself to you as you move forward.
It needs to be so clear, that you can virtually see it in your mind when you close your eyes.

Proactivity

Proactivity is the chief hallmark of any success person. The 1st of 7 Habits spoken of by author and successful business man, Stephen R. Covey. And last, but not least, the fundamental 1st principal of any true success that's earned.
It's also the #1 responsibility of any accountability partner, student or coach, you may have. In any partnership, or student mentor relationship that you choose to be in, both parties must be mutually proactive to reach out to one another, it's not your other partners'/coaches responsibility to have you report; it's yours!
Be Proactive, and take responsibility.

K.I.S.S.

The K.I.S.S. methodology. Keep It Simple Stupid, is one of the abbreviations for that acronym. The beauty of complex things is in how simple they really are. Ray Kroc, who purchased McDonald's from the McDonald brothers understood that mentality when he created what we now know to be the franchise system.
In all that you do in your business. Keep it so simple that you can, in a single sentence or two, describe exactly each individual part of your business.
     Keep it simple.

The End Results

At the end of the day what matters most is the end results. You could have worked all day as smart and as hard as you possibly could, but if you made no profit from your efforts you can't pay your staff, or yourself. In around-about sense, if you don't make money, you don't eat, and neither does your family for that matter.
But you can only control so much, your level of activity is one of those few things you can control. You need to find out what those few things are that you truly need to focus on in order to make a profit, then attack those items with all your might, mind and strength.
     Focus on what's most important!

When Seeking Help

When any business owner is looking for help, they don't want just anyone to help them. They want the help of another who has already been where they are now, and who has even done what they themselves are trying to do. Why? Cause their livelihood depends on it! Their business is like a 2nd child to them, and they aren't going to trust just anyone to help them.
Seek out a mentor who has walked where you now trod.

3 General Systems

If you are self employed, you own your job. When you own a business you have systems in place that allow you to make money, even when you're home asleep. The three general kinds of business systems are:
1. You start a corporation that creates and owns its system.
2. You buy a franchise, i.e. someone else's system. Or;
3. You become part of a network marketing system, thereby joining a system already in operation.
Again, if you don't have systems in place, you are the magic. Therefore, when you are not working you are not making any money. If that's what you care to do, there is nothing wrong with that. However, if you want to go from owning your job to being a business owner, and for more in depth knowledge about the difference between being self-employed versus being a business owner, I strongly recommend you read Robert Kiyosaki's book, "The Cashflow Quadrant." If you don't have systems in place yet, it's never to late to begin creating, and implementing them into your business. If you lack the knowledge or experience to create and implement systems that's what a coach is there for.
Learn about, and develop systems my friends.

Slumps

Slumps happen to us all. What's most important is that you push through the slumps and keep the same level of activity regardless. Very few people have that kind of will power to win. That's why you need a friend to help you along the way.
Find yourself a friend and coach.
